Teaching Assistant
School of Architecture and Design, University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS​

  • ​​Assist illustration professor by demonstrating drawing techniques with materials during lessons, including with charcoal, graphite, and ink, to facilitate students’ understanding in their first year of studies  

  • ​Provide technical support to animation faculty in preparing slides and videos to demonstrate concepts and historical progress within the field to second year students   

  • ​Critique students’ illustrations to encourage improvement and set up supplies for students to test out and explore​​ ​

Background Development Intern

Ghost View Studios, Lawrence, KS

  • ​​Illustrate background layouts for the short film Onetta, based on storyboard panels, script, and the directors’ feedback, complying to living files in preparation for the animation team  

  • ​Adapt to the film's style to develop value, color, and final background paintings​

  • ​​Lead tours of the architecture and design buildings to prospective students and parents, providing historical context for the building as well as opportunities including internships, campus organizations, and study abroad  

  • ​Aid student recruitment coordinators with writing to prospective students, inviting them to visit campus or send their portfolio; communicate with teachers across Kansas and Missouri

Public Relations Officer

Spencer Museum of Art Student Advisory Board

  • ​​Collaborate with the Spencer Museum staff to gain knowledge of framing, storing, preparing, and exhibiting artwork​ 

  • Create marketing and promotional posters for events hosted by SSAB to promote how the museum serves students 

  • Plan events and initiatives to engage students with the museum’s current exhibition, such as Student Night; assist with museum-planned events for the public  ​

Co- Founder and President

University of Kansas Illustration Club

  • ​​Co-founded the first Illustration Club in the KU School of Design’s history in January of 2025 to create a collaborative space among illustration and animation students to strengthen student professional practices​ 

  • Succeeded in fully funding a trip to California for the 2025 Lightbox Expo for 10 students through selling student work at art fairs and galleries across Kansas  

  • Organize art shows in local spaces downtown, such as Celler Door, Espresso Cat Cafe, and the Union Gallery, resulting in funding for the club and artists 

  • Tabled at Lawrence Summer Festival to connect with local artists and community; secured doner and sponsor   ​

KJHK Student Radio

  • ​​Created promotional art–including stickers, posters, and zines–for the station, using play lists and current shows as inspiration for designs
